Opening soon in Kyoto
A companion-guided tour at your own pace.
Start anytime, anywhere. It doesn't have to be a plan.
Explore Kyoto at your own pace with a friendly local guide. Saw an interesting spot on TikTok or Instagram but don't want the hassle? Our local guides help you through everything, so you can make good memories of Kyoto.
For friends and family groups of up to 5. Walk around a single area, or ride public transport with your guide so you don't have to think about navigation. Guests pay their own fares. We are not taking bookings or payments yet.
A companion that goes everywhere with you.
Unlike most tours, you can leave the plan anytime, anywhere. Our local guides can also make an itinerary for you, based only on what you like.
One guide for your group
No bus and no crowd of forty. A guide walks with your friends or family and adjusts as the day goes.
Your plan, free to change
Say you start with Gion and its shrines, then suddenly want to try a posh, hidden café. Go for it. Your guide handles the rest. An itinerary is never meant to be a to-do list.
No prior knowledge needed
You don't need to know Japanese to get around. Your guide handles everything.
Plan your own walk.
Choose your stops, spin a wheel for something you never thought of, or start from a template. Then send us your plan. If you want help, we can suggest places you will like.
One standard price per group.
Choose 3 to 8 hours, then fill them however you like.
¥22,000 tax included
About ¥4,400 per person with 5 guests
- Up to 5 guests
- A friendly guide the whole time

Food, drinks, game credits, entry fees, train fares, and shopping are paid by you at each place. All prices include tax. If a walk runs over, there are 15 minutes of grace. After that, your guide asks you first, and extra time is ¥2,750 per 30 minutes. These are opening prices. We confirm final prices and terms before we take bookings.
How eating works.
Your tour, your choice
At meal time your guide can suggest two or three spots nearby, and your group chooses. There is no fixed restaurant list and no set menu.
You pay your own way
Your group pays at the counter. If a shop will not split checks, your guide pays first and you pay them back on the spot.
Your guide eats too
We cover our guide's meal, so you never have to wonder who pays for it.

Questions
When do you open?
We are finishing our setup now. Join the waitlist and we will message you as soon as dates are open.
Can I book or pay now?
Not yet. We are not taking bookings or payments until we open.
Who can join a walk?
Friends and family groups of up to 5 guests, plus your guide. Each group walks on its own, so you are never mixed with strangers.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
No. Your guide reads menus, explains shop and arcade rules, and talks to staff for you.
I know nothing about arcades or anime spots. Is that okay?
Yes. Many guests start from zero. Your guide explains how everything works and goes at your speed.
Can we change the plan during the walk?
Yes. That is the idea. Tell your guide what you want more or less of at any point.
Is transport included?
No. We walk. When a train or bus saves time, we ride together and each person pays their own fare. We do not drive guests or arrange hotels.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund 7 days or more before the start, 75% from 72 hours to 7 days, 50% from 24 to 72 hours, and no refund after that. If we cancel, you choose a new date or a full refund. Read the full cancellation and refund policy.
What if someone feels sick during the walk?
Tell your guide right away. Your guide helps you find a pharmacy or clinic, explains which medicine to ask for, and calls an ambulance (119) if needed. For safety, guides do not give guests their own medicine.
What if it rains?
Ordinary rain does not cancel a walk, and arcades, cafés, and shops work well in the rain. If there is a weather warning or the trains stop, you get a new date or a refund. Read the full weather and cancellation policy.
Be first to know when we open.
